TEMPE, AZ – (Feb. 18, 2009) – In a world where victims are often left without a voice, LifeLock CEO Todd Davis has provided one. Davis’s efforts to educate the public on the threats of identity theft as well as his work in piloting the Tempe-based identity theft protection company to fast become the industry leader have earned the CEO the 2009 Arizona Business Leadership Award.
This prestigious award has been received by CEOs showing an exponential amount of leadership in the Valley for more than 12 years. The purpose of the Arizona Business Leadership Award is to recognize an Arizona CEO whose business has excelled in the state. Under Davis’s helm, LifeLock’s member base has increased 1,300% over the last two years and the organization has taken a national role in educating consumers and law enforcement on identity theft.
“LifeLock has been an industry leader in raising awareness of identity theft and protection,” stated Jonathan Keyser, ABL’s President. “Their commitment and passion to protect consumer’s identities is unparalleled. LifeLock’s presence in and community service is admired and definitely meets the purpose and criteria of the ABL Award”.
Davis has become a vocal advocate for consumers in the fight against identity theft. Through media outreach and creative advertising campaigns, LifeLock is bringing awareness to Arizona (the state is number one in the nation for reported cases of identity theft) and the rest of the country’s battle with the crime. Davis directed LifeLock to the forefront of the industry with such ideas as giving out his real social security number, creating the industry’s first $1 million total service guarantee and making sure that the organization played a strong role within the local community.
“I’m honored to receive the Arizona Business Leadership Award, but to be honest, it is really the team at LifeLock that’s responsible for any success that I have achieved, “ noted Davis. “It is easy to head an energetic organization where everyone is committed to completing the same mission - in this case fighting identity theft. My entire organization does the hard stuff, while I just have the coolest job.”
A dinner and presentation honoring Davis as the award recipient will be held on May 7, 2009, hosted by the Arizona Business Leadership Association. Invitees will include other Arizona business leaders and companies. During the presentation, Davis will share stories of his struggles when the company was first started, how LifeLock has grown, and where he sees it heading in the future.
